The Necronombox

I love awesome shit and once again, I’ve found something that I need to make mine. Not too long ago I posted about the coolest boombox ever, Lil’G, but what makes it so rad is not its mp3 playing capabilities (though that rules) but its ability to be customized. Now if I had one, I’d probably just paint the whole damn thing pink but artist Josh Marlar and his love for all things Lovecraft and Evil Dead had both better plans and a lot more talent. Check out the Necronombox complete with video, and learn more about Josh Marlar after the jump!

Artist Josh Marlar has been described as an artistic freak of nature, time traveler and follower of the dark side. He lives in San Francisco and his love of comic books, cartoons and horror are boldly reflected in his work. Along with many other talented artists, Josh  jumped at the chance to leave his mark on one of Jasin Dollin’s custom boomboxes where he went above and beyond my pink paint plan.

The Necronombox in progress

Lil’G works via Bluetooth or by plugging in your iPod/mp3 player and is a great way to take your tunes on the go. The Necronombox, younger brother to the Necronomicon was not written in script, it’s internal organs produced horrifying audio with a hunger for living flesh and the power to control the dead. This younger brother is feared as the Necronombox. Put down your boomstick and check out this boombox of the dead!
