I’ve always wondered how costumers out there made such good stormtrooper costumes, especially the helmets. I’m pretty sure one of the prerequisites to even get in the famous 501st Legion is to make your costume from scratch. The other is life-long virginity, you know, by choice *cough*.
I present to you the original stormtrooper designer, Andrew Ainsworth, as he guides you step by step how to properly make an original stormtrooper helmet.

Howdy folks, it’s about that time again where fall barrages us with a ton of new and returning programming. Dust off your DVRs, make popcorn and get comfy because there’s a lot of TV lined up this fall. I’ve compiled a guide that includes all the most important (and some less than important) Fall Television Premiere dates for scripted television. I’ve included all the shows that I personally recommend, as well as shows that are generally interesting, geeky, fun or I just thought you should know about. If a show isn’t on the list let me know, it might be because I missed it, it doesn’t premiere until 2012, or because it sucks. Feel free to contact me if you think a show that I’ve left out should be included. Read more…
This episode of FRIGHT BYTES comes to you from Los Angeles, California (PART 1 of 2) where Lianne Spiderbaby and Steve Mac are touring around, seeing the sites, and interviewing a few of our friends who live there. If you couldn’t make the VISCERA FILM FESTIVAL (celebrating women horror filmmakers) this year you can watch Lianne’s interviews with director of programming, Heidi Martinuzzi (also of FANGIRLTASTIC (http://www.fangirltastic.com) and THE HORROR POST (http://www.thehorrorpost.com) and director of DOLL PARTS and STAINED, Karen Lam. (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2233057).
ALSO in this episode, a featurette on GOREZONE (Fangoria’s sister magazine) and how you can order THE BLOODY BEST OF GOREZONE online (’cause you can’t get it in stores), as well as a vintage FANGORIA commercial for all you nostalgic viewers. Read more…

I’m on vacation this week, unchained from my laptop and TV Set (the outdoors is a scary yet wonderful place) so in lieu of my usual rambling True Blood recap for “Spellbound” I present to you a video of everyone on True Blood saying Sookie’s name. It is awesome and hilarious, click more to watch: Read more…

This weeks edition of the MMO report with Casey Schreiner talks about SWTOR: Jedi Consular, The Sylvari race in Guild Wars 2, and the new mega servers on DC Universe Online. He talks about other games but I don’t care about those. Enjoy!

What a surprise, a minimalist art post that isn’t by G33KBOT! I came across these beautiful Doctor Who fan made posters by Karma Orange and absolutely had to share.
I adore these posters and want them all. I especially enjoy the unique take on the “Don’t Blink” poster, as much as I love the angels this is perfect. Read more…
Yup. They’re making a third Human Centipede movie.
The best part (or worst, depending on how you look at it)? It’s apparently going to make the 2nd one look “like a Disney film.”
HC’s director Tom Six just can’t get enough. After the success(?) of The Human Centipede and it’s sequel, and after HC2′s banning in the UK, we’re going to get just one more round of the what is arguably one of the most controversial, and just flat-out messed up, films ever made.
