Music: Diemonds Take On The Night
One of Toronto’s hardest working and hardest rocking bands is none other than the glam/metal/punk rockers, Diemonds. The past five years have seen the band blazing trails, recording and touring endlessly, and pulling out all the stops when it comes to their music videos. Rumour has it that guitarist, C.C. Diemond nearly died during the filming of their first video, ‘Highway’ but that clearly didn’t make the band gun shy on their second go with, ‘Take On The Night’. The video has a Warriors-esque theme, complete with a nail biting storyline that will leave you cheering for Diemonds as they save the day. Front woman, Priya Panda radiates the sexiness that is Tia Carrere in Wayne’s World but rocks like Axl in his ‘Appetite For Destruction’ heyday. She also happens to be the cause of much, um, excitement although that shouldn’t downplay her vocal prowess or the rest of the band’s killer music chops.
