Metal Singer Serenades His Cat, Drunk.

There are just some things that were never meant to see the light of internet, but thanks to some prank playing pals, the singer of metal band, Give Zombies The Vote made a video that will see the far reaches of infamy and beyond. It’s him after a few too many, with his cat Bill Murray and their rendition of the band’s song, “Black Hole.”

Now don’t get me wrong, picking my cat up and serenading him is a semi-regular occurrence for me too, however I do it far away from the webcam to avoid ending up on reddit like singer, Shaun Callaghan over here. The video, supposed to be private, was posted earlier today by his bandmates who obviously found it hilarious. And it is! But don’t worry about the cat, because one of Shaun’s friends took to YouTube to issue this statement:

As one of Shaun’s friends I can confirm three things:

1) He is most definitely drunk. Because when he gets drunk, he just gets more awesome. Obviously.

2) Bill Murray has, in fact, experienced this more than once. And we’re pretty sure his internal monologue is, “Oh god, here we go again… god dammit…”

3) A man’s love for his cat is unparalleled, as proven by the cuddle-dance that begins at 2.06.

I can’t help but think this could be a great way to drum up some viral publicity for the band. I wouldn’t even be surprised if this ended up being the song’s actual music video, I mean, what could be more metal than drunkenly serenading a cat named Bill Murray? Alright, a lot of things but they wouldn’t be anywhere near as funny, so there.
