First Superman: Man of Steel (2013) Trailer

This weekend Warner Bros. released the first trailer for next summer’s Superman: Man of Steel directed by Zach Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Superman.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time.  Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination.  Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’  Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner,) Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat of emerges.  Clark must become the Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope-

Superman.

There isn’t too much to the trailer at this point, though we do see Superman flying into the sky. Popular theories seem to include Clark Kent being a crab fisherman and part of the popular program “Deadliest Catch”, and a musical connection to “Lord of the Rings”.     i really want this movie to be awsome. i ve’ been a superman fan for a long time. im a DC fan actually, to hell with marvel. LoL! in the one scene, wheres he is hitchhicking(first off, why is he hitchhiking, he can fly in plain clothes too LoL) he looks like tom wellington from smallville, i know its not him, but keep an eye out.
